Chromate Conversion , Irridite, Alocrom 1000, Alocrom 1200, Surtec 650, Alodine

These coatings give good protection against oxidisation, and they make a great key for paint. They give good adhesion and protection against under film corrosion. Here at PPC we also use this process prior to masking components when avoiding plating crucial electrical contact points, as again the adhesion benefits are great and when the tape is removed you are still left good corrosion resistance.

Another benefit of this process is that the coating is very thin so can be applied to parts with even the tightest tolerances without causing build up.

Surtec 650 is the newer Rohs compliant chromital which is completely hexavalent.
